Danny Kay first started spinning vinyl way back in 2002 using turn tables and within a few years was recognised as one of the up and coming DJ’s in the north of England, Starting his first residency at “RUDE” the UK’s longest running house music brand. After playing weekly at RUDE for 3 years he was approached by a major UK DJ promoter for the opportunity to DJ at “Sankeys” who is voted the world’s best night club and a club that every DJ would love to be a part of.
Danny started to get gigs all over the UK and Ibiza until he decided to “chill it out” to pursuit his passion for his international media company BPO/ Call centres that he owns. Having two loves in his life, business and DJ'ing it has always been difficult to pin him down long enough to find out which one he will long to. To this day Danny has never used a laptop to do DJ sets, he prides himself on using manual hardware only (Vinyl or CDJ decks) - Danny can mix every genre of music but is best known for Underground house and Techno and Producing two genres of music, the first being vocal electro house around the commercial scene and the second and much preferred deep/tech, progressive house and Techno for the more underground club member.
Danny Kay has a great technical ability to mix long and creative blends and always pleases the Crowd and creates an awesome atmosphere everywhere he goes. Having residencies at Rude, Ibiza Den Bossa boat parties, Electro freaks, Xpression records, Saucy and many more he has played almost everywhere worldwide and is set to hit the Far East of Asia very soon. In addition to his regular residencies, in 2010 he had 43 gigs at large popular events and 52 major bookings in 2011;
In 2012 he took some time out of the DJ scene to expand his media company into Asia (Philippines and Thailand) and still managed to DJ at many clubs alongside some of the biggest international superstar DJ’s. These Day’s Danny is very busy with the Businesses he owns but he just loves to DJ in new and different places he’s not been to, so you will find him playing Almost everywhere he goes time permitting. However he wants to make some time to DJ in Asia soon not for the money but for the love and passion for educating and introducing people into the underground music scene...
